Sormat Oy was founded in Turku, Finland by Mr. Tarmo Lieskivi. The company starts operating as a turning subcontractor.

1972
The company launches its own
products on domestic market

1980
First exports to other Scandinavian countries

1982
Manufacturing of nylon and plastic products with injection moulding machines starts

1991
Sormat enters the Russian market

1992
Sormat became ISO 9001 certified

1998
Start of a new production method called cold forging

2001
Sormat became ISO 14001 certified

2002
Exports exceed domestic sales

2002
Sormat Holding Oy buys the share capital of the dutch Sormat PFG B.V.

2003
New sales company was founded in France, Sormat France S.A.S.

2006
New company management. Sormat Academy founded.

2008
New Logistics Center to Rusko

2008
Assembly and packing automatisation line started in Rusko

ETA Option 1 granted for S-KA

2009
ETA Option 1 granted for S-KAH and S-KAH HCR

2010
40th anniversary year for Sormat Oy. ETA Option 1 granted for S-KAK.
